I'm Henry VIII, I Am

from Harps In Space by Dan Veaner

/

about

My second attempt at English music hall, ‘I'm Henry VIII, I Am’ is best known in our time as a Herman’s Hermit’s song, but lead singer Peter Noone didn’t bother to learn the whole song, opting just to sing the refrain a couple of times. The song is by Harry Champion, a popular music hall performer and composer who wrote ‘Henry’ in 1910.
